Michikusa Publishing Luxembourg is an independant publishing house created in 2022 by Marianne, Zsuzsanna and Robert with the goal of promoting niche poetry especially in the field of nature and travel writing. 道草Michikusa is a Japanese term meaning ‘grass on the sideway’ and is part of a Japanese expression meaning ‘to lose time along the way’.

The Team

Marianne is our art director. After a professional life spent in graphic design, she now shares her free time between her dog Emile and designing new books for Michikusa Publishing. Zsuzsanna is a professional in finance. She keeps an eye on our budget and also runs our participation at literary festivals. Robert is the managing editor of Michikusa Publishing. A writer and poet himself, his professional experience in science and public administration helps him to unite both the worlds of artistic expression and rational business.

Our books can be purchased directly from our webshop or in Luxembourg-City at Librairie Ernster, Librairie Um Fieldgen, Librairie Alinéa and online at ernster.com. We are also present at some book fairs in Luxembourg and adjacent countries (Walfer Bicherdeeg, Marché de la Poésie de Paris, Poetik Bazar Bruxelles…).
